The New Short Fiction Series™ moves to LAMAG in 2010

The New Short Fiction Series™, Los Angeles’ longest running spoken word series, is moving to the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park in cooperation with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Reservations are recommended. Performances begin at 7:00 pm, admission is $10.00 with advance purchase, $15.00 at the door. For program information and tickets visit www.newshortfictionseries.com or call 866-811-4111.

The New Short Fiction Series™ is an institution, and a unique one—an exciting hybrid of literary and theatrical arts, nationally acknowledged for promoting the literature of West Coast writers. An invaluable and integral part of the Los Angeles literary scene, The New Short Fiction Series is one of the few great and original venues for narrative fiction to be enjoyed by an audience. West Coast writers face unusual obstacles in living so far from the New York center of publishing. The New Short Fiction Series™ provides writers and audiences a vital link to a wider literary network, and the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery believes that this spoken word series is one of the best ways to make literature available to the widest possible audience in Southern California.
